Raine began work on the mural two weeks ago and hopes to have it finished by mid-September.
“There’s still some work to be done adding clouds,” she said.
Raine recently returned to Michigan after studying art at New York University.
As a new artist, Raine is pleased her work will become a lasting part of downtown Howell.
While she intends to keep painting, she also hopes to begin a career teaching art to youngsters.
“Maybe I’ll even be able to bring them here,” she said.
After all, her resume is on the wall for all to see.
